Elemental Designs or RE... anyone with eD knowledge?

I want to start getting stuff together for my T/A when it gets here and have to make a couple of decisions. I had another thread going but didn't get the first answer. It currently doesn't have a CD changer in it so I wanted to just keep the Monsoon system and either add a single 10" to the opposite side or just keep the CD changer out and add two 10's in the rear using stealth boxes. Due to cost I ruled out IDMax 10's (at least a pair) and if I go dual 10's I am going with RE-SE 10's or eD 10's. In a single config one SE or eD and I have also kicked the idea around of a JL10W6 since I have never tried a JL or eD sub. Anyone have knowledge on any of these? Think a single 10" with 700W will be enough?

SE's do great in small sealed enclosures!

if your coming from a pair of fi q12s i dont think any of those single 10s will be enough bass for you

both the JLW6 and the SE10 do really well in a small sealed box.

eDs sound rather plain to me. the arent a bad sub by anymeans but if your throwing it up against a W6 and an SE i say that the eD just wont compare

Well with the k series then i would say yes, but the O series are much better, and sound great in either sealed or ported.

Spoke to a few reps of ED awhile back and they said this was how they compared SQ and output wise .

As Na RSX said the O series would be a great contender

....not so much ive tested almost all of their subs and this is probably true if you are comparing the first version of the w3 and the w6 but jl has made alot of improvements on the second generation models

A series beats i had a pair of 15s

the O series are alright would not put them in the same level as the W6s tho

Just refering too what I was told by a few ED reps. I have never tested all these subs together but have owned both w6's(first year they came out with the new designs) and the 130v2's and the SQ is barely noticable between the 2 .
