Elemental Designs EHQS12 Subwoofer

As the title says can a Elemental Designs EHQS12 Subwoofer take an extra 35 wrms? I plan to power it with an audio art 100hc just one channel and at 2 ohms wich will create 235 wrms and the sub is rated for 200wrms, i was wondering for everyones opinion if it would handle it ok?

as long as you dont clip it i dont see as why not

this might sound bad but how do you clip the sub?

He's talking about your amp... clipped signal has the ability to damage either of the two.

set gains correctly and now just turn the gain treating it like a volume knob

ok will do i useually leave the gain low because i dont like the distortion that can come from it so i guess i am ok

I ran about 400 wrms to one.. worked out great...

tough cheap fun subs...

many many speakers sound better, but its fun toplay with a decent $25 sub
