Just bought an item, Super Nintendo to be specific (link located here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=150224182014&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=005)

Auction clearly states that "IT WORKS AND SO DO THE GAMES" and "I AM SELLING THE CONSOLE, ALL THE CORDS, 2 CONTROLLERS, AND 4 GAMES". Seller also continues to state "ALL ITEMS SOLD ARE AS IS. THEIR CONDITIONS ARE POSTED IN THE LISTINGS."

First of all, it only came with the power adapter, no RF cable or the other Multi Out (IIRC that was for the Audio/Video cable). Second, it doesn't power on. I would assume all that is needed to power on is the power adapter plugged in and even a game...I get nothing (the power LED doesnt light up).

If the seller does not cooperate with me on this issue, is this something that I can file a claim for and get my money back or something so that I don't get screwed?

hmmmm
what if a seller states that the console powers on, but it doesnt work properly and is being sold as-is.......would the buyer still get his money back?

Im just curious
i think they would get their money back. ive had other ebayers tell me having 'sold as-is' in an auction doesnt do anything. its still the sellers responsibility to provide a working system, if the description says its working. so i would file a complaint with paypal.

You can only get your money back if the person didnt take the money out of their paypal account and put it in their bank account yet. Ya know cause you have to physically make the transfer after someone pays you on paypal... Once they transfer from paypal to their account your F-ed

It clearly says "it works" it would have to "work" for it to "work" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

That is not true on some occasions the persons account goes into negative.

report to pp and ebay.

by ebay rules not to mention state laws the seller commited a crime by telling bidders they were getting more and that is worked.

just because he says AS IS doesnt mean anything since he stated the other things
