Put it this way, the bass junkies that have listened to my car have always had a baffled look on their face....and then say something like "this sounds weird" and then look down under the dash for the sub(s). This isn't necessarly a testament to the install as it is not knowing any better and what they've come to expect in-car bass to sound like.

why would they look under your dash for the subs? Assuming your bass sounds like it's up front and across the glass like the rest of your stage that still seems odd to me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

I think they just assume they are mounted there as that's the only logical location in the car based on the sensory experience. The fact that most say it sounds 'odd' doesn't lend much credence to their looking around trying to find the sub in the first place.
