Which one do you think will be better? Ensolite or edead V4? They are both close celled foams, v4 is suppose to be 1/4 inch thick and ensolite 1/8 inch thick.
eDead v4 IS 1/4" and the Ensolite sold by RAAMaudio IS 1/8". Both are good quality foams, but I prefer to control the adhesive myself - the eDead has adhesive pre-applied. I don't like to use adhesive on the horizontal surfaces at all, the carpet holds it in place and glued down foam just makes it harder to get to things, for example if you want to add more deadener.
I also prefer the control of using 1/8" for most things. There are places where 1/4" doesn't fit easily, so I think it is easier to use 1/8" and just double up when you can. It can be nice to have thicker foam for some situations, but for versatility, if you just use one, 1/8" is the way to go.
We have done quite a few installs in tight areas, and the v4 will compress well below 1/8", Thus giving you more density.
Ive also seen people shoot overspray onto the window, door panels, or when spraying directly onto the foam, having the overspray blow into the vehicle, combined with that fact that we sell by the foot, you do not need to over order.
V4 being a foam can be compressed.

More density defeats the purpose of foam. There are ways to transfer spray adhesive to the interior surfaces without being a moron about it. Contact adhesive on the foam and the mounting substrate is going to provide a better bond than any PSA possibly can. I've never know anybody to have too much closed cell foam.
That's completely different than what's being discussed here, but good luck with that asphalt in Southern VA. Good thing it never gets hotter than 70 degrees there in the summer or you'd have a real problem.
