edead v1.SE vs fatmat

out of those 2 I would go with edead.

here is some useful info

edead, fatmat, rammat, r-blox, thundermat, brown bread and b-quiet extreme all come from 1 of 2 places that make roofing materials.. (we used to buy from the same factory)

all roofing products that are the same composition at verious thicknesses. pick the cheapest one with the best customer service and be happy with it.. its all the same product

ok..i think i will go with edead v1.SE.

If i just want to do my whole trunk. how much edead do i need?.

Do i only need 1 layer of edead v1.SE because it's very thick(70mils) or should i still do two layers?

Not to give you more choices, but look at this post and the name of the poster, That is the best product you can buy IMO. And when I bought a 100 sq ft of the 60 mil stuff, it was relativley cheap and well worth it. PM Ant or better yet go to secondskinaudio.com

but didn't bobby's test on CAF prove that there was a difference, iifc edead performed better than fatmat? i would link it but the stupid server is busy.

nevermind, finally got on and scanned the thread, and what a waste of time. nothing.

so i guess what i heard was simply hearsay, oh well. I will say this though, Fatmats' customer service was by far the worst i have delt with yet in any car audio company, i was on the phone every day for two weeks solid just to get them to ship me the product that they HAD SITTING RIGHT THERE according to them. after shipping it still somehow took 1.5 weeks.

if they're all from roofing companies, then perhaps multiple layers of peel and seal would be your best and cheapest.
Multiple people have had problems with Peel and Seel falling off in the past, it does not have a great heat tolerance, not meant to stick well to verical surfaces.

There is a difference because the materials are all different thicknesses.

You can call this company up, and as long as you put in a large enough order, you can specify the thickness of the mat with some small amount of heat tolerance. all the same stuff though
