eDead v1²

I can't bring myself to justify buying a cheaper deadener under the assumption you can just double it where needed. If it takes two layers of $1/foot² material to equal the deadening of a single layer of $2/foot² material, you're still spending $2/foot².

EDIT: The Lowes stuff mentioned above is peel & seal. "Peel & seal" is just a name we give stuff like that.

uh isn't this shit just peal and seal? been around for along while, this isn't some "new" alternative
Nope. It used to be asphalt based, but since what, last year its now butyl. The worst part about it is the way the plastic adhesive stuff ya gotta peel off. It smells like soiled diapers. Other than that.. this stuff is pretty good so far.

use v1se2 for all pieces that are vertical and v1 with layers and layers for flat horizontal. Had great success in brothers car doing it this way. v1se2 seems to stick better and have a bigger effect when holding pieces from flexing. i dont like liquid based deadeners even though i hear v3 is pretty easy to use.

I love eDead and eD's amps. that about it. But yeah there v1 not v12 sucked

v3 is easy to use... when its blistering hot and you thin it down with about 1/4 cup of water! I dont know what the hell they were thinking when they made the batch mine came from... but it was more like fuggin body filler than deadener. Maybe mine evaporated a bit and got thick. idk but either way im going to thin it down a little for today's coat.

Check that link to the Home Depot deadener from page 1.

Well thats not what everyone refers to as peel and seal. The true peel and seal is used on roofs.
You sure? I see "peel & seal" or "P&S" thrown around pretty loosely around here, to me it's the same concept as "kleenex" or "antifreeze". *shrugs*

... the peeal and seal ive always seen referred to as such has always been asphalt roofing stuff. Thats not quite the same. Not that it COULDNT be considered peel and seal. Looks to be of decent quality and in fact im going to check that stuff out probably this afternoon to see what its about.
