ED15A or RE SX 15

this is a good comparison, id take the ed because I have one and it's great,I like it better than my XXX because of it's effitiency and it's upper bass response(60-80), My XXX has better sq and more massive linearity(it's amazing to watch the XXX in action) I never heard a sx so I can't compare.

Well, if you want a half-made, unsupported driver made by a habitual liar, get the A.

If you want a well-made, dependable driver made by a little girl //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif, get the RE.

WOW, talk about going against the grain....

If you are talking about the old A, I wouldnt touch it. Probably not many recones left for the flat coned subs. Either way give the SX a try...

after reading all about the ED "scandals" i would say you'd be better off trying the SX. that way, when you get it, I get to witness its power and then will get one myself //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

it really depends on what your end goal is. the SQ on the A is much better than the SX. however, while the A series gets nice and loud, the SX is just plain louder //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

as far as problems with the driver itself, the AE using the 2 peice aluminum cone has eliminated the T-joint issue with the flat cone A's. i doubt you will ever see/hear about a problem with the AE series.

I bought a edA AE because I blew a tinsel lead on my XXX.The customer service at ed weas once ****ed up about a year and a half ago but now thier showing improvement.

You can call them up....

ED is fine as well, but I wouldn't recommend it on the power.

the ED talk is starting to get pretty crappy.

The guy who started it all on another forum basically came out and said that everything is getting taken care of in a timely matter, and everyone else is just trying to use this to dog them. Seems like a group of 1-5 trolls with multiple accounts of a few boards....

my vote would be for the 15a with the aluminum backing, but that's just going off what my 12a sounds like //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

thats not available anymore, and to be blunt, that is susceptible to the same T-joint problem as all of the flat cone A's

the AE series uses a 2 peice aluminum cone, eliminating the T-joint(and triple joint for that matter) completely. very solid driver indeed.
