mybuddy mandos,what does retooled mean? and strictly looking at the TS specs bewtween the 2, how are the SQ10 a better product?

Retooled means all the tools to make the pieces of the speaker were redone by us.

As for comparing the product, better gasket, more VC options, 3 year warranty would be what make it superior.

And for those of you who will say eD warranty sucks, I can't speak on things 2+ years in the past, but if you have an issue with something and send it in, it will be checked out, and if determined to be manufacturer defect, a new one sent out to you within a week.

If it's user error/abuse, you'll be contacted to arrange payment for a recone fee on a speaker or repair fee for an amp.

Generally speaking, with ship times, the product is out of your possession less than 3 weeks.

In an industry where the standard is 4-6, I think that's pretty good.

Of course, all of the flat cone speakers were sold more than 3 years ago. This means there isn't a single speaker that we've made that would come back under warranty that we don't still have.

Cosmetics on the v.2's changed ever so slightly, but they're the exact same driver sonically as they were on release.

Just wondering here, is the 'better gasket' different than either of these photos?

No rubber gasket present...

Or, rubber gasket that doesn't seem to fit right...

Or did you have a better fitting rubber gasket made specifically for this driver (different than the one shone above)?

I don't know what I would do with my life if eDuh didn't supply 'better gaskets'.

I was going to buy a W7, but I saw that the eDuh V2.324352354^2 had a superior gasket, so I went that route.

What about the ID built subs since I assume ID is fed up with your BS since last I heard they are no longer your build house?

Impedance options- DVC4 ohm, DVC 2 ohm, SVC 4 ohm, etc.

Co-Linear Neodymium Motor The SQ10 features eD's Co-Linear 2.5" coil neo motor design. This motor is lightweight while retaining excellent drive unit efficiency. In such a small and light frame clearances are retained as well.

So eD is Manufacturing these themself...and they are now utilizing Neo Motors...does eD have the equiptment to magnatize neodymium. Last I checked there where very few speaker buildhouses that had that capeability and eD was NOT one of them.

I bought one yesterday....I figure it's the same price of a big bottle of Jack Daniels...and if it lasts as long , then woot for me. I am using it HT anyway.

Wether they can charge Neo or not has really nothing to do with this debate- eD would just order them charged.

The main issue is that two companys- One called TangBand with a brand new buildhouse and another called eD with an imaginary buildhouse have an extremely similar subwoofer.

I don't know about you guys, but I can tell from that statement alone who is shoveling some BS around here.

Even so- they may be the exact same subwoofer- even more of a reason for myself to go with the cheaper alternative.
