I'll chime in here. I was going to buy a 9.1 because of the price mainly and the warranty. I'm don't need a lot of power and either amp would have covered my needs. I honestly have only heard of a couple 9.1's that needed repair but I don't frequent the audio boards that often.
With that being said, I did purchase a Sundown.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif The main reason was the price again, build quality and the owner was easy to get a hold up (got of of the b-stock amps for $400) and answered all my questions quickly. I did like the look of it but that really does not matter because it will not be seen after the install. I will be purchasing a 100.4 soon to have matching amps. I have no problem paying a little extra for something that is better/ more solid made and from a company that has great customer service. I sold/ traded my 9.2x but only because I wanted matching amps, I never had a problem w/ it.
I did purchase a few items from ED about a year ago and the whole transaction went very smoothly. They were always easy to get a hold of and very helpfull.
Now onto the business practices. Who here owns a vehicle because any car lot has really crappy service and as we all know, they are just car sales people? Who here buys from Walmart, they are the worst retailer when it comes to dealing w/ vendors? I hate that we allow other countries to import items and give them tax breaks but when we export something, we get hit w/ higher tarrifs and taxes. I still buy imported items because they are cheaper and sometimes better made.
It's all about what you like and think suits your needs. The 9.1 is a good amp for the price and the 1500D is a good amp for the price but I don't believe they are in the same league/ class. One is built more for the person who just wants some good daily power w/ no worries and the other is for the person who wants to compete or have a really good daily powered amp w/ no worries.
I believe it was already mentioned but the 9.1 will be going up to $365 w/ no more discounts February 1st.
This is just my measily little opinion but I thought I would toss it out there anyway.
