I doubt youll find a side by side comparison but alot of guys on the internet run eDs amps with good results -

I've got a nine.1, and know several other people who also have one (a couple folks have 4 of them lol). Their SQ is great, but the power output is the amazing part. eD rates their amps at 12 volts, so realisticly, at 14 volts, they're going to be doing around 500+@ 4 ohm, ~1000@ 2 ohm, and close to 1500@ 1 ohm. Plus the 3 year transferrable warranty is a good thing.

I've never listened to that Infinity amp, so I can't offer a judgement on it, but I'm fairly sure it wouldn't have the balls the Nine.1 has just by looking at the specs.

I can't speak for Tirefryr, but I have not heard a Nine.1, and yes, I have had warranty work done on a broken Eclipse product(minor issue with an eclipse amp). It went to United Radio in Syracuse, and I had it back in my hands within 3 weeks. Considering one of those weeks was Thanksgiving week, I think that is pretty impressive. The amp is still in use by my best friend and works great to this day. As long as the product is under warranty, the local shop hasn't had problems getting eclipse products fixed either(since the skip 'n blip issue of 5 years ago, they haven't had much cause to use eclipse repair anyway).

Have extensive time with both. Thank You. Never NEEDED any work done on ANY Eclipse product I've had, surely can't say the same for eD. You get what you pay for.

Your right. eD do not offer any sort of magic products, I bought the kv2/ nine.2 package, and it was good for the money, the sub broke (user error), and they wanted 120$ for a recone. The amp is now overheating on me like mad. They make decent stuff, but its often hit or miss, and they are very reluctant to replace things for you. If you try to post a problem on icix, they will close the thread and shout "user error", even if the Q is legit.

And I've been installing audio equipment in cars since before most of you tots were born! Not even close to newb status here.

Why did so many Eclipse dealers drop the line in the last 6 years? Well, a good friend of mine was one of those dealers who got out of dodge, and he said it was because Eclipse was horrible to deal with when all their HUs were failing, and he ended up eating thousands and thousands of $$$ of defective HUs that eclipse refused to repair, or replace. They had no choice, but to punt!
