not when you get your moneys worth. the Dodecasub is a waste of money because of how it performs . read up on it and you will see what i mean.it basically only pounds if your right in front of it, if your either to the left right or behind it... you get nothing.

That's the idea of a dipole. Read up on it.

It can also be switched between dipole and mono.

i have thats why its a waste. what living room do you know of has everyone sitting directly in front of the subs? save the money buy one real good sub woofer and amp that everyone can enjoy and call it a day .

What neighbors do you know that want to hear unnecessary bass at any time of the day? The price is certainly high, but the dipole subs are certainly not a "waste." Anyone can build a sub and make lots of noise. It takes research/calculation/theory to come up with something different. Dipoles (not to mention the dodeca) have their place and purpose. To assume otherwise is just ignorant.
