eD 9.1 question

the mounting feet came with small screws to attach them to the amp. there are holes that the screws look like they would go into, but they aren't tapped. I emailed eD, and the guy said just drill the screws in there and it's all good. that just doesn't seem right. is that how they are supposed to go in?
