I have a question about pretty much any sub. Could i have 2 15's in the same box and power them with 2 different amps? and could it still be wired in parallel if i could? Im thinking i would have to have a dual chamber box and bridge each one to an amp im not really sure, anybody know?

Originally posted by Gauntlet Yes....you just need to have the gains set the same on both amps.
Was that a yes to the first question i asked about being able to do it without chambers and it being in parallel or to the dual chambers bridging to both amps? I have 2 15's that are svc and i tried hooking up both subs to each amp while they were in parallel and it just popped loud when i touched the wire to the 2nd amp.

You're confusing me....if you wire 2 SVC subs in parallel, you're only going to get one connection out of it, and thus you can only use one amp....unless the amps are strappable, and you set one as a master and one as a slave...but I think thats out of your league right now.

What subs do you have? Whats the impedance? What amp do you have and what are the specs on it? And what tpye of box? And what exactly are you trying to do?

I dont know what i was trying to do, i was just messin around. I have really cheap rockford punch z's and they are 8 ohms i have them wired to 4 ohms right now. I also have a rockford 250a2 and a rockford 200s for my amps, i was thinking about picking up 2 ed 15k's and wiring one sub bridged to each amp thats why i had asked my question. I have them in sealed box. I really only asked this question because they are 2 different sized amps and it would be in a sealed enclosure and i was wondering how they wouldnt be out of phase.
