hey every one, for those who don't know I live in new orleans and because of katrina my car was flooded all the way to the roof. Now it doesn't want to fire, and its making an aggrivating beep. Does any one know how i can check to see if the computer is bad? I'm thinking about running diagnostics to see whats wrong with it, but the only problem is i'd have to buy the unit which isin't so cheap. Does any one have any suggestions what could be the problem? I Just want to make sure im not over looking anything.

BTW... i checked the fluids they're all good, but i went ahead and changed the oil filter and oil with full synthetic for the fuk of it.

Usually with a 4x4 if it get flooded with water you take out the plugs and turn the engine by hand to expel the water out of the block. then you change the oil. wait for it to dry fully and try to crank.

Check your fuses, change your plugs, clean up the connections on the distributor, buy a new battery, check the fusible links and then contact fema and try to get some mouhlah.

does it crank? if it doesn't, your engine could be hydro-locked, meaning there is water in your cylinders. how long was it sumerged?
