ECLIPSE setup?

sorry, i have 2 threads and I wrote on the wrong one, anyway I like the Pioneer Premier PRS-X720. For 2 10" eclipse 1000 watt, 500 RMS, What do you think?

That wont be powerful enough. Are you set on the Eclipse's? They are very nice subs, but you could do better for the money.

WEll theres a very nice eclipse retailer in my area, I havent looked around to much but I dont know if I want to buy off the internet. What do you think is better for the money? I was also thinking about just going with 1 12", but thats only if I cant get enough money for the 2 10's. THanks.

What are you looking for? SQ? SPL? SQL? What kind of enclosure you looking to put this all in? Adire Audio, Elemental Designs, Resonant Engineering are all great companies that arent as pricey as the Eclpise's.

I'm kind of new to car audio if you havent noticed, as for what I'm looking to get out of the subwoofer is a clean crisp and loud bass. I know I want better than kicker comps but dont want to spend money on w7's. I'm basically looking for nice sounding loud, "fill up my car with bass" subwoofer setup. Maybe that helped a little.

(I am kind of stuck on eclipse subs, I really like them and I think it will be more convienent than any other sub, so basically I just need a good amp) THanks.

I have an all eclipse setup except for my amp and it sounds great. you are going to get outstanding sound from that setup. it may be a little pricey but it is worth it.

i'd take my blaupunkt san francisco over an eclipse any day. it all depends on the driving you do and the conditions... my brother also has a 9442 and he has the same problem.. but we both drive 3 and 4 hour trips VERY often, seeings as we both have sponsors and other people we need to deal with concerning our cars.. i believe minus the heat problems the eclipse units are GREAT units.. if you use them for short bursts or small trips.. GREAT.. great unit for you.. but they do not have the quality that is needed for a long trip, a hard run.. or other conditions that are VERY hard on a headunit.

 

 

i agree.. they are great.. rarely skipped, very responsive, and the 5v outputs seriously made a difference.. but it just couldnt handle the conditions it was to be used in, and in this case blaupunkt rose to the challenge.

well I have to say your the very fist person to ever have any sort of major problems with Eclipse and I have been dealing with Eclipse for a long time

not if you can get them online for a decent price
