Which woould you all rather have to power a big amp.

A big amp? I dont understand, unless you mean one that will thrive on higher voltage from a HU.

The last Sq headunit RF offered was the RFX-9420 which was ugly as sin- basically the Denford but in Rockford attire and sold very poorly. Most people have no clue what a great sounding deck the 9420 is, also offered 8v/50ohm preouts. No tuning options other than bass/trebble/etc..

THe Eclipse you mention sounds like a better deck for audio and plenty of tuning.

I thought that Eclipse and Rockford had Hyundai make some stuff for them, not sure if this is some of it.

Maybe not but the ones built for them by Denon were very, very sweet units.
