mom and pop stores sell based on experience and quality- Eclipse shafting them like this will hurt, but not kill them- especially since all the new Alpine decks **** balls

Yea Ive heard about this, the techs at Eclipse are not happy either. Their expecting the phones to be ringing off the hook now. LoL

Although through info from my rep, it may not actually consist of the full lineup, but rather the entry to mid levels. Just heresay for now though.....

the models that CC will carry will be the very low end to mids. No CD7000 for CC. It all hast to due with the target market for CC...why I know this...cuse I work for BB //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif and we have to know our competition and our competition is in the same market we are. CC will see the CD7000 as more of a specialty item.

I've known it for about 3 or 4 months... that's been the rumour though, I kept quiet until CES just incase I was wrong... The rep a few months ago said we'd get the entire line though. *shrug* we'll just have to wait and see.

The 06 models have been ghey-ed out. Weak pre-outs- The top cd player has 2 volt outs for $400, and the DVDplayer at $650 gets 4volt.The only model with time-alignment costs $1600. They no longer offer amber illumination (tough luck for guys with Euro imports- no matchie anymore) Basically they cheesed thier lineup across the board- but I guess it make shopping for a deck easier- no need to consider Alpine once the 05's are gone. It's sad to see good companies give up on making good products and cash in thier name for a few entry level bucks.

Do you not understand? The pre-out voltage doesn't matter as long as you already have a clean signal, if you're already clear of ground noise...it's not really necessary to have more voltage.

No, I guess I don't understand that to drive a signal cleanly over a distance of cable the higher the voltage the better. How much more would it have cost to keep high volt pre-outs, since they had them before?If they aren't needed, why does the top-end product have them? Oh yeah- because they are better. Why do products like line drivers exist? Because they work. So I guess you are right, I don't get it.

No where around here carries Eclipse, and I'd like to check them out in person.
