Eclipse CD7000 and Sirius Direct Quality

I am an installer at Circuit City in the Roadshop, and I have noticed a very large degradation in quality through the Sirius direct tuner when ran through the CD7000 compared to being ran through at lest the CD4000 and below. I have tested other CD7000's with the same outcome. We have the CD7000 and the CD3000 right by each other on display, when using te same tuner box, e-lan cable, etc. there is a large difference between the two. I contacted Eclipse tech support and Punjab had no knowledge of anything to resolve this. And found the cause of the problem? And out of curiosity does hooking an I-Pod up the same E-lan have the same outcome by chance?

well sad too say sirius tuner box sux... i have played with the eclipse and i can tell u they sound better with siruis then JVC,Pioneer, and even alpine will, since the music is sent at 56k quailty i just dont expect much.

iv had problems with eclpise HU's and sirius tuner boxes in general.

No problems here. Just that Sirius in general sucks balls for reception when compared to XM.
