Eclipse CD-8455 vs CD-8445

Should I go ahead and buy the CD-8455 or should i save about 100 bucks and go with the CD-8445

it depends on your setup. basically if you are going active i think the 8455 is the way to go. if passive then i'd get the 8445.

+1. I recieved the 8455 b/c of the tuning options for my future 3way active setup. If that ever happens. BTW, I fricken love it. Tuning is a breeze.....

Passive........but the 8455 holds me because i think it will still be a great cd player years down the line

^ Yea that is true. If you plan on going active someday you'll have the option with the 8455. Another option if you can wait is what eclipse will have at the annual CES.

Yes tuning on the thing is amazing. So easy and everything is at the touch of your hands.

8455 running active. I debated it prior to even thinking about active. In reality you just get alot more for the money. The 8455 comes with the media stick and microphone. From what I have heard, the 8454 does not. Why buy the 8445 if you have to spend nearly 100 to use the eiserve or memory stick features.

I bought the CD8445 and I wish I got the CD8455. The 3-way tuning and manual TA make it worth it IMO. Maybe it's just my preference since now I really have the jones to fine tune my system, but I think it's worth making a note of.

Its just a better made higher quality deck in every way, simple as that.
