Eclipse 8554-best model from 2004, opinions?

Hey guys, I have an opportunity to buy a new w/ warranty Eclipse 8554 (2004 model) for a smokin good price, and was wondering what everyones opinions likes and dislikes are for this deck, the specs look awesome to me, and it should have great sq (especially compared to my 860) So whattya think? BTW if I buy it there will be an 860 for a smokin deal on here soon.

i think you are referring to the Eclipse 8454, not 8554 lol.

But yea i haven't heard a 8454 myself but the specs looks pretty similiar than my 8455. I'd go for it. you can also use the HU for future active setup if you plan on going that route. I love my 8455. And yes btw how much can you get it for?

no its not the best model. 8053 was by far the best, 5 years from now, people will by dying to get there hands on this deck

I own one and its a beuatiful sounding unit . Only short comings is the remote and no satalite radio IMO. But if you can live with that go for it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif I prefer the sound of it over my friends 860 although I like some the 860's feature's.

You could still run sat radio with that deck though, just use a plug n play, etc.

exactly, I mean for that little dough, I have to try it. All the specs seem to own my Premier except my XM won't work anymore, and I have to go back to an aux in for my ipod, though I have been indifferent to the controller- though charging the ipod and the line in (cleaner sq) has been nice.Sometimes I am so freeking lucky it scares me! Like when i scored my $800 amp for free out of a used car at work...Can't beat that with a stick!
