The 5435 is a double din unit, just without the hard drive. I bought one a week or so ago and am thinking about bringing it back. Nice unit, but you can find better for the $$$. I just happen to get a good deal on one from CC, I would be willing to sell it for what I paid if interested.im not talking about the 5435...im talking about the double din 5495

Keep in mind this is my opinion, but I would personally prefer the Pioneer Z1 over the 5495, and retial it is $150 less (crutchfield). I would even prefer the AVN6600 over it and save about $400.Care to enlighten me on whats "better for the money"?

I was referring to the 5495 with that comment, I have the 5435 but just don't like it, but I do think it is one of the better units in that price range with built in nav. Have you had any experience with the 6600? I was looking into that, but am still contemplating something like the Z1 for a little more $$$.You said better for the money on the 5435, not the 5495. The 5435 is certainly cheaper than the 6600 being that its discontinued and replaced by the 6600.
I personally dont like the 5495 and have only sold a handful, but my question to you was regarding the 5435 and the "better for the money" comment.
