Eclipse AMP Doesn't Work

I took my car to the car shop because my audio system doesn't work and they said that my amp stopped working and it will cost me $900 to fix it. $300 for amp and $600 to install and test. Is it hard to change the amp at home?

Search and read stuff on this forum. Switching an amplifier out is a piece of cake as long as you dont make any stupid mistakes (which are 100% avoidable if you're not mentally retarded)

I would never pay anyone $900 to fix anything on my stereo. Shoot, for that kind of money, you could furnish yourself with an entirely new system!
