Eclipse Alum. or Ti?

Sup people I'm having trouble choosing between the Eclipse Alum and Ti subs and I'm asking for your opinion on this. I know that the Ti's are LOUD!! but i'm not sure about the alum. and what they would compare to so if anyone has experience could you help me out? Thanks in advance.

the Alums are great all around plenty of SPL for normal use, and they are built for more SQ than the Ti's, which are serious SPL subs

no problem, what sound are you looking to get out of your system and how much power are you going to run?

Well I'm trying to preferably get like a 50/50 split of SQ and SPL if not then the usual 40/60 ratio, but as for the power Im not sure wether or not im getting 1 or 2 12" and to wether the Alum or Ti but I still have in mind the RE XXX and also they'll be ported.

well a single 12 Ti ported will be sick if you want to keep the cost down a little and still have serious output

Yeah I was thinking of just like getting 1 12" Ti and maybe later 1 12" XXX if not maybe a Brahma but I'm really stuck to which I should get first! I know I would be happy with either one ported though!!!

in the right installs and correct power, the XXX will lend to a hair more SQ, where as the Ti is going to losen screws

Kool! I really like potent subs but at the same time gotta have the SQ in there as well!

I'm running one Eclipse Titanium 12" sub with a Kicker 600.1 amp and it sounds AWESOME. It's in ~1.3ft sealed enclosure and it's **** loud and clear. I'm thinking about going to a ported box, buts I don't know if my ears can take it...

I was running one Eclipse Aluminum 10" sub, and everyone would sh** when I told them I was only running one ten. The aluminums are awesome too, but I just wasn't satisfied with one 10. And the sound quality on the 12" Titanium is just as good as my 10" or better, but I also had the 10 in a big box. I think that the 10" actually hit lower than the 12" Titanium, probably cause of the box they're in.

Oh yea, they both like lots of power.

I think it's the opposite, the XXX defenitely can get louder than a Eclipse Ti, both have awesome SQ.

if I had the expendble I would love to put the two subs against each other, but I would still probably stick with the Eclipse regardless of outcome

My partner is running 3 aluminum eclipse's in the back of his Expedition and I thought that had a mad bump to it. So when I went out shopping, the rep showed me the titaniums and told me that 2 ti's would hit harder than my friends 3 aluminums. These are 10 inch speakers I'm talking about for both of us. So I took his word for it. My friend has a sealed box and I had the place build me a ported box. I don't know what my partner is running but I am running 1 Xtant 1000 watt amp to my Ti's and they hit much louder than his. I even ran into a guy at the carwash who was pushing two 12's w6 and a thousand watts in his Navigator and I have to say that the Ti's hit a little bit deeper than his. I am impressed with the Ti's. My buddy has 1 15 inch XXX in his truck and that thing makes the c.d. skip. But than again he has an old head unit. Thought this might help with your decision. Goodluck.
