I'm planning on buying an Eclipse 3242 for my internals. Right now my internals are all stock but soon I plan on upgrading to a full infinity (comps and 6x9's). All of the speakers are 25-100wrms @ 4ohms and the amp is 50 x 4 rms @ 4 ohms, 110 x 4 rms @ 2 ohms. Will this suffice? I would like a quick response as I'll have to pay today (used and cheap).

I don't know.......just incase you ever feel like upgrading. Gotta figure almost everything we buy is a "for now" product because we are constantly upgrading. Give it about a year, and you'll probably be ready to try something with a little more power. But to that end, you could always just not power the rear speakers and bridge 2 channels to each front component.

Yeah, I was concidering that - not running rears. Now that you explain it, yeah, everything is 'just for now'. The same is for my older hobby, computers. So if I bridge 'em for the comps, I should get about 200w x2 at 2 ohms, 100w at 4ohm, right? I really appreciate all your help, squeak.

Oh, one final question - about comps. They say 100-110wrms. Is that 50w for the tweet and 50w for the speaker or 100w each?
