i got my third earthquake phd5000 in the mail yesterday and it was DOA. i guess that is what you get when you buy from the dicks on ebay. it wouldnt power up i opened the board and i seen a black cloud on the lid and something on the board was melted:verymad:

I always ask if the seller will guarantee it will not be DOA...even if it states so in the auction.

that sucks. i dont trust ebay, never have. i know alot of people get good deals, but i dont want to take the chance on blowing money. id rather wait a few more days, weeks, even months if i have to and buy something BNIB

Yeah about the only time I will resort to ebay is when I can't buy it retail....or it's not worth it to buy new....but in the case of amps...which will last a long time IF they are not abused then I would buy new....
