Lol.. JL makes a great product, albeit overpriced in most people's view.
No reason to trash it. That's like trashing a Lamborghini because an overdone Supra can outrace it.

jl is over priced junk not like a lambo at all if you over power it the jl will always break over power the lambo and you will get all the pus** you want lol try that with a jl sub .

On ebay, I asked this guy a question about this JL Audio 13W7. It said "how is the surround, any marks, cuts, or scrapes?" His reply " there is one small blemish, nothing big at all, its probably only 1/2 inch long" In his description of the sub, It said it was in perfect working and physical condition. I get the sub yesterday and it has 3 holes in the surround!!! and get a friends amp to hook it up and hear this thing. I called the kid, and he was just a cocky as schit and told me "I have pictures of the sub without rips." I opened a paypal claim and the seller has until July 12th to respond. It's all bullschit. I want him to refund my money and I'm going to send it into JL for a refurb.

on another note, i think i saw someone somewhere ( think some PSI company) rebuild a W7 with custom parts, looked pretty good.

I see you're in the midwest. There's a guy not too far from me selling a 13w7 and JL 1000/1 together for 450 - he says he has two combinations like that. And they come with an enclosure.

Sorry to hear about your luck. Gotta look at people's feedback man. And something expensive like that, only buy from reputable stores - not personal.
