Ebay scam or not?

I got this message on ebay for an item. And usually for high proced items its the Hi, im from Nigeria blah blah blah, and they offer a moneygram, But this time, I got this;

Hello there,

I wish to tell you that you have a very great item for sale and i will definitely want to buy it now and pay you the sum of 800 dollars immediately with my paypal account and an extra 100 for the postage via USPS.

I would have loved to wait to place a bid but due to the nature of my job i would never be chanced to wait till when the auction ends.

I am very sorry for any incoveniences but i will greatly appreciate it if you can grant my request by helping me send this item to my son who is currently on a vacation to as i write now.

No need to worry as i will definitely pay all the extra charges that it may attract and please help me include your email address when replying so as to be able to transfer the funds to your account.

My email/paypal id is purple@verizonmail.com

Hope to hear from you asap so that i could be able to transfer the funds from my account as the item is needed urgently.

Idk whether its serious or not. Her ebay screen name has 385 feedback, 99.5% positive. All of the items she's bought is shoes and hats. I just dont know if its fake/scam or serious

yes its a scam! I get these messages all the time as a seller. I was selling an xbox and i got a message saying that this guy was from nigeria and he would like to purchase it for 700USD. i was like, bullshit.

Thats what I usually get, the hole my son is sick thing, im working in Nigeria thing, but this one Idk, she offered 800 and thats what my reserve price is...but how would they know that.

ya has scam all over it...but hey u never know.....tell her OK. have her send u the pay pal money. get it cashed into ur bank account. after its cashed go back and check with paypal to make sure everything went through legit and there's no claims or other crap to make them take the money back. then ship........
