Ebay Rip off

ok i bought a JL 500/1 amp off ebay that he said was "like brand new". When i got the amp it was a differant story. I got it and there where scraches in it. so i was pissed but i was like its ok. Than i hooked it up and this guy sold me a bad amp for 300! The amp powers up but there is no output. So i brought it to a JL dealer to see what i could do about it and he said the only option i have is send it to JL and they will fix it for another $300. So basicly if i send it in to have it fixed im paying more for a used amp than a new one. Needles to say im done with ebay. What would you guys do this is the model amp i want so would you guys have it fixed or try to sell it and get some money for it as is?

give a link to the auction. What was his feedback like. What you can do is get his info from ebay and report to the bbb internet fruad something etc if im not mistaken?

also, if you paid thru paypal, you may get your money back for fraudulent equipment, and call your cc company as well to get your money back.

Yea, please post up a link to the auction so we know about this seller. We wouldn't want anyone else to be scammed by this guy.

This happened to me through paypal and I got most of my money back through them. Also make sure you file a claim with ebay. They may deny him from being able to sell on there again

file a claim with paypal saying it was fraudulent equipment, i.e. not as item was listed, etc.

also call your cc company and tell them the same thing. should get your money back.

It looks like he has another negative feedback with the same exact story. File a claim through Paypal and you will get a refund. Good luck.

Definintely file a claim. If you look, most of his rep is from him buying stuff. He has only sold 6 items, and 2 of those items were reported as broken. So 1/3 of the time he has sold broken stuff. Turn him in.
