Ebay Prefab

I can't make my own box right now and was planning on buying this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=200288670542&Category=50568&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26its%3DI%26otn%3D2 prefab off ebay and dropping my SSD in it, and wanted to get some opinions. Has anyone bought a prefab from this seller? They look like pretty decent boxes but I'd like to know if anyone has any experience with them or knows of their quality. Also do you think this would be a good match for my sub? Any other suggestions (besides build your own box, ha)?

I can squeeze 2 to 3 boxes out of 1 sheet of MDF depending on the application. Carpet for one box if you buy in bulk is roughly 3 dollars, and i can do atleast 5 boxes with one bottle of titebond 2 (5$) Terminals are roughly 1.00 each. So it goes a long way when you buy the stuff.

So lets say you can build 2 boxes from one sheet of mdf, thatd be 25$ for mdf, 5$ for adhesive, 10$ for carpet, 5$ for titebond, so basically 45 dollars there.

2 Hand built boxes = 45$

2 Store bought boxes = 250$ +

This however doesnt take into account drills or jigsaws, routers, clamps, etc. though. You can pick up a cheap drill and jigsaw and some clamps for 50 bucks, and be good to go. Also a good investment for the future, because if you build one box for someone youve already made back double your investment.

i have installed 2 type R's for a forum member 12" ported in a Civic off a TXA Cadence 1000 @ 1 ohm, i was actually impressed by it dimension audio

i also thought the audio enhancers were not terrible pre-fabs either

pro box makes a nice pre-fab but don't put more than 1500 watts to it

Ya honestly I have no tools or experience with woodworking and figured that with the money and time it would cost me to buy the materials and tools, and then attempt to build a box (which may or may not be adequate seeing as it would be my first box build) it would be much better in the end to just buy a quality prefab.

Those are not really prefabs either, they are built to manufactures specs for each sub by that company. They just happen to have a cnc machine to do all their cutting
