You should've put the full insurance on it. I hate to hear that, but that's one thing I make sure to do with
eBay is have full ins, and require signature confirmation. There's all sorts of ways for buyers to screw the sellers, but doing those two things everything have kept my *** covered since I began requiring it. Just for future reference, use signature confirmation as well. Delivery confirmation isn't enough according to
eBay to ensure the buyer received the package. Had this happen to me about a year ago, so I lost the item and had to offer a full refund, because the buyer claimed he never received the package, but USPS said it was delivered.
This stuff definitely cuts into overhead, especially with the
eBay/PP fees nowadays, but it's that or risk instances like what you're going through. I really don't sell as much on there anymore unless there's a pretty large profit margin for me or I just want toget rid of something.
