eBay and Paypal Payment ON HOLD? WTF?

I sold something on eBay and i received payment for it but it says the money is "pending" and is on hold and will be released once the item is shipped. I've never seen this before, it always went into my account and that was the end of it, I've never had it be "held" like this.

has any of you ever had this happen?

and yes i did actually log into my paypal account and it still sayst that.

scam, i had it happen the other day. notice when youj get the email, right after paypal it says "r" with the circle around it. paypal doesnt have that. trust me its a scam. dont ship it

If it gave you a link to your paypal or ebay and you used it to log on change the passwords ASAP.

i just read something on the Paypal site about a New Seller policy. They can hold your payment until 1 of a couple things happen.

The ebay account i sold it on is brand new, no feedback or nothing. which is why they are holding it it seems. Still pretty gay that they are doing that now.

EDIT: yea i never click anything on any emails i get. I always go straight to the site and log in.

paypal and ebay made an announcement that they were going to start doing this to prevent scamming a little while back

you will get the money, im pretty sure its supposed to be delivered, you gotta pay for/set up the shipping thru paypal, or provide tracking info after you ship

then they release the funds

they will want a tracking #. they did me like that before. once tracking showed item delivered, same day my funds were released.

paypal is holding his money untill they have proof that he shipped the item

the buyer does not have the money, paypal does
