There is an SQ class that is NOT install based...its called "Q"

And dave you sound like you are about where I'm at. My electrical is "done" and my mids and highs are playing, thats it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Well in that case, I'll look into the Q competition. Again, I'm not sure how a true SQ system is supposed to sound, but to my ears, it sounds darn good. Again, do you have to use their CD or do you have to bring your own?

I just read over the score sheet... ought to be... interesting to see how mine will do. I've still got a couple rattling gremlins to work out in the door panels, and I have a hair of engine noise. As far as staging goes, it's pretty good, thanks to the location of the mids and tweets in the dash. The width is so-so.... doesn't really extend beyond the a-pillars. The balance is okay, again thanks to the position of the speakers. I have to rely heavily on the time alignment. I think the imaging is good, could be better, but its good.

I'll just have to see what I'm up against. If some hood ninjas show up with 8 coaxes in each door, and want to do Q, I'll pwn em. But if I'm up against people with nice-*** fiberglassed custom installs made for SQ, I might just watch.

When you get there I can tell you if you should compete or not. I know most of the SQ people in the area that would show.

Consumer Q would probly be your best bet, unless someone that is setup for Q shows. I will be there, but I wont be running.

For anyone that wants to test or tune before the show we will have the TL and RTA there for use. Just come up and ask.

Jman, when you see me get there or when you come across me get with me and I can jump in your car and give you a quick run down of how I feel you would do. They have their own disk, and its a new one that I dont have. I have the old one from last year and a few IASCA disks that you can get a good idea with.

And I see you blake in this thread...Im going to skip some classes and come into mansfield on Wednesday. Box building at Off Road and Performance on Thurs?

and Justin If you want to come in early, You have a place to stay //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Overall, I think my van sounds pretty good, but it ain't a show-stopper by any means. We'll see.
