I just read up on the rules, and I suspect I'd get pwnt on the install portion of the SQ comp. Sure, my install is clean, but a judge would rip it to shreds on the score card.
This summer I plan on building a false floor, which will be very clean and will definately get me brownie points when it comes to judging, but for now, everything looks haphazardly thrown in compared to the install I could have.
One of the things I like most about my install, though, is the fact that it looks very stock, aside from the head unit. No amps are showing because they are hidden in the Stow-N-Go compartment, and my tweets are flushed into the a-pillars, and look like they're supposed to be there. The subwoofer only protrudes about 10" above the floor, thanks to the Stow-N-Go. The Caravan is the perfect platform for a sexy install.
But this summer, I think I'm going to do a complete reinstall. I'm going to get paint to match the exterior of the car, and paint dash trim pieces to match the outside of the car. I'm going to run all new wires, build the false floor, get lots of split loom for the power wire and big 3 wire, get replacement a-pillars for the van, and reinstall the tweets a bit higher (one touches the gauge cluster hump), put in a second battery somehow in the back.... I'm lookin at an HC800 because of it's compact size, maybe a pair of HC600's.
