Easiest way to cut a triangle?

I'm planning on building a triangle shaped box so that I can try placing it in different spots around my trunk. Here are some MS Paint sketches of what I'm going for.

I've never built a box before so these questions might seem basic.

The plan is to put the three sides together and then attach the top and bottom to them. I would start by attaching sides 1 and 2, and then attaching 3 to those. Which way of cutting it do you think would make for the easiest assembly?

Option 2 will allow you to clamp panel 3 without it forcing the other 2 panels out of alignment. If you put braces on the end panels, you can assemble the ends to the box and have them hold it all together. That will ensure that the 90 deg angle is accurate and will give you a way to screw the whole thing together.

option 2 i like. allowing you to clamp across to the 90 degree joint. as for cutting that triangle piece, a water jet would be nice:) , otherwise use a jig saw

Option 2

Glue and screw the 90* joint and while the glue is drying glue side 3 to the legs.align the three and use two band clamps to hole the whole thing togather. But it between two boards pointing down and put some weight on side 3 too. Glueing it will keep you fomr hanvingto fandangle with screws with an odd angle and will be plenty strong. Making sure the 90* angle is actually 90* is of most importance. The rest can be fixed with a router. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
