Easiest, Most Useful Project Ever!

Yay, first time posting my work on this site and ngsm approved it. I'm very relieved I didn't see "noob" or "***" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

No offense ng, you're just one of the most sarcastic yet brutally honest people on this site, and I'm relieved to not get flamed by you.

little update : they are now both completed and mounted under the back seat. They fit like a glove. I have two wires running from one of them just waiting to be grounded, and the power wires run to the other just waiting to be hooked up. Tomorrow morning is amp hookup and a little bit of sound deadening time. I'll post pics then. Good night!

Like I said they're under my backseat which is ridiculously easy to take out...you literally just pull them out. So I will check it every now and then to see if it corrodes. I don't think it'll be a problem though, tons of people before me have used aluminum without a problem.

by the way I had to stop work a little early today due to rain, plus I ran out of wire anyway, so I didn't get everything hooked up, but I promise pics will come as soon as I'm done.

i know it should go without saying, but since it isn't fused make sure the input wire is the same gauge as the output wire.
One bar has two runs of 4AWG from the battery, and the other has 2 runs of 4AWG to ground. Each of the wires coming off the battery has a 60 amp fuse on it.

Here's where I'm at now. Everything is installed, up and running. All that's left is a bit more wire tidying and general cleanup.

I also turned the box around and fired it into the cabin. As expected it sounds like I lost a bit of volume, but at the same time the SQ is 987234898234 times better turned around. It's probably just because I have no deadener. Before all I heard was rattles and now I hear clean bass, and it's still plenty loud, I wasn't going for a competition SPL car anyway.
