I have those if you are interrested. I enjoy the e4c ones, not a ton of bass but they are very clean and have great noise canceling.

When I hear that some people say that certain headphones have no bass, I get a little worried...

Easiest example I can give you...

If you like SPL in your car these are not for you. If you like SQL you may like them, but they are not lacking on bass...it is just not as loud as others like. They have excellent sound quality. The bass is bended perfectly. When I first got them, I went from my studio headphones to these...I like the e4's better.

Basically, I really dont have the money to spend on nice headphones like Shures anyway....

So I guess it comes down to the Sony EX51s or EX71s ...

Should be at least a little improvement over the stock headphones...

there is no audible difference between the 2 sony ear buds. the 71's have the gay extension cord but the 51's are easy to find in black...which match my ipod video an dare cheaper. i highly recommend these earbuds. i just got them and i have used many other headphones and they are much much better than the rest. people sya they are bass heavy, but IMO most headphones have no bass, and these certanly do. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif buy them from a big name place such as BB and return them if you like, but i can assure you that you will never voluntarily put the stock ipod ear buds back in after using these. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

The Sony EX51's and EX71 don't have close to the depth that the OEM Apple earbuds do. I have the ex71's and prefer to use my apple earbuds, except while I am jogging or at the gym because the apple earbuds tend to fall out when i run.
