This is unbelievable. Regardless of how "good" the Panthers may or may not be, this is the absolute worst performance in the history of Eagles football. Even ignoring the late hit on McNabb that the officials didn't bother to call, even ignoring his limited playing ability while injured (still awesome, though), this is pathetic. The wide receivers may as well be rubber mats for all they're doing to help the team. The offensive line is simply offensive, and clearly is incapable of protecting McNabb, as they demonstrated last week, and now their inability to help him is going to cost this team a trip to the Super Bowl. This is absolutely disgraceful and is the worst football game I have ever witnessed. Baring a miracle, the Eagles are going to have some serious explaining to do. McNabb (in spite of his injury) and Staley have both been playing great football, but it's not enough for two players on a team to be in the game. The rest of the team needs to just be thrown out. Pinkston doesn't seem to be worth the price of his jock strap. Sigh. As a Philadelphia sports fan, I'm used to dissappointment, but this is just insulting to the fans and taxpayers who put so much money into that world class stadium.

EDIT: On further reflection, I should say that the Eagles defense is doing a decent job with what they've had to work with, but unfortunately the offense isn't doing their part at all. In fact, I suspect that the defensive linemen would be better able to catch a pass than the wide receivers have been.

what you said about the eagles MAY be true but don't disregard the job that carolina has done. unbelievable how they keep winning. i heard a perfect comparison this morning panthers are like the marlins. too young to realize what they are doing and not afraid of anything.

The Eagles WR's are absolutely pitiful. Actually, absolutely pitiful is being generous. Duce is the only player on the team that gives a fu*k, I hope for their sake they don't let him go. The Eagles are like the Buffalo Bills, except they actually got to the Super Bowl.

And McNabb is over-rated.
