I already have the subs, but I wanted to know how well they would do as a midbass speaker. Im using them with the factory mach 1000 system in my Mustang. I needed something that was 8 ohm to work with the oem amps for now and this was what I found. I had a pair of Kicker ssmb6's but with them being 4 ohm the final load to the amp was 2 ohm and made it go into protect.

6x8 to 6.5" adapter. I had to dremel the opening to fit the magnet.

im no expert but the design of a sub and a midbass driver are diferent. subs are designed to play diferent tones than midbass. might work, might not, i honestly have no clue.

IMO tho, i think it will work and sound good. but you might be exceding the little buggers design limits by making them play midbass....
