To be honest, that motor is very mild to some people that we race with throughout the season. Drag boat racing is growing quickly. There are TOP FUEL boats that i have seen cover the 1/4 mile in under 5 seconds @ 250+ mph. This motor was built for bracket racing, the heads are outdated but why put money into it when its turn key and runs 9.0's et all day. If we were to get some new heads ex. Profilier heads, we with out a doubt would be making 1200+ on gas. But thats the limit of the boat before it gets silly and might do stupid things and hurt my dad or myself.

heres a direct link to some fast boats / crashes. one top fuel boat has so much power off the line that it simple flips over. These boats have fighter cockpits that break away with oxygen in the event of a crash.

its the off season and we already stripped the boat, and plan on doing some work to the jet pump and bottom of the boat.

12 degree heads?. Thats whats holding us back power wise. With some better breathing heads it should scream. But for the money for the heads / pistons / and different valve train its not worth it.

pretty motor btw

aluminum block? if so thats sick shit. were also working on a dry sump system that should free up some power also. You gotta pay to play.

My ex uncle back in the 90's (earl mormon) his buddy got killed in a boat that earl worked on and partly owned world record back then for the boat class at 165 mph or something like that. the boat took flight fliped over lots of times and killed his best friend and ruined the $1,500,000 boat.

it's not a game for sure.

Put it in a Fiesta.
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/789789

That's my buddy's Festiva. It's gonna be somewhere in the neighborhood of 650rwhp. And weighs about 1750lbs, wet. A full interior Festiva, with a stock SHO 3.0 (220hp/200tq) runs 12.2s, and that was in the early 90s, on 215s. He's got brand new 275 RA-1s on his, and more than 3 times the power. And due to the rotation of the engine, it will be physically impossible for it to lift.
