Anyone know why its doing this, I just installed lower ball joints, outer tie rods, upper control arms (balljoints). I jacked up one side of the front and I could move the tire .5" both ways from left to right etc... Maybe the inner tie rods??

If you can wiggle the wheel side to side your tie rod ends are going out. If you can move it top to bottom its the upper or lower ball joints. wheel shake can be bad alignment or tires out of balance.

Tie rod ends sound bad. You shouldn't be able to move the wheel like that. Take it to get aligned and they will tell you what is wrong with it before they can align it. Nothing can be lose to do an alignment.

The tires were balanced and I even put rim shims for the new rims I got and got it aligned it still does it. The outer tie rod looks solid, looks like it maybe the inner tie rod but im not sure //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

new rims you say? what size are they.....my friend put 24's on his explorer and due to a shitty alignment and balance job over 45mph and you thought a tire was falling off it was so bad....took it to a better wheel shop and the balance was redone and it rode perfect.

like was said above, if anything is wrong with your front suspension they wont be able to align it.....maybe they charged you for the alignment and didnt do it....did you take it somewhere thats shady?

No they aligned it great cause it was very, very bad before they did it. I was there with them when they aligned it and balanced the tires and they where good. I jacked up the car and when i move the wheel it seems to be the rod that holds the tie rods is moving but the outer tie rod is solid. This is after a few weeks of getting it aligned.

Is it just left to right, or does it have play up and down, too. It could be a wheel bearing going bad if it has play in every direction..
