Dynamat is a better product, but fat mat is cheaper. dynamat extreme has a high temperature rating . 300 degrees. but since it will never get to be 300 degrees on your cars panels...

its kinda like comparing a a stock hummer and a stock jeep for driving on a dirt road.

the hummer has the potential to get crazy and the jeep has some potential as well, but since you only drive in town you have nothing to worry about. however, driving the hummer gives you some "cool" points....but you'll pay for it

i'd bet my door panels get pretty darn hot out here in Tx though. i know it's been 115 on heat index at least 5-10 times this summer alone.

spectrum might be good to go within a month.

I stopped working on the LiquidX. the numbers didnt work out. too expensive.

working on so many projects on my own gets to be tiresome and somewhat stressfull. I need to hire someone, but am not pulling in enough revenue to justify an employee right now.

its a pain in the arse to be in this situation.

here are the products that should be done in the next month or so.

Hood liner

Floor liner

Spectrum

and OC-25

OC-25 is already done and being sold.

its a 1/4" foam with high temp adhesive (peel and stick) that goes on the back of lplastic panels to creat a cushion between the plastic and metal. it reduced rattles, not vibrations. it also has some acoustic absorbtion properties. so it helps with unwanted external noise.

things are coming together, just taking some time.

ANT

2nd skin or dynmat is what i would like to know? which is better? and also what 2nd skin is better for a roof? i know the heavier stuff would be better but can you put it on the roof with out any problem of coming down?

"Better" is subjective ...

For the roof ANT tends to suggest multiple layers of Damplifier ... unless you can come up with some strong adhesive to help something else stick to the roof. I think I may be thinking about Spectrum ... and not using that on the roof ... and in that case DampX would be the one to use on the roof if it isnt too heavy.

When ANT's completed everything I'll probably go for 40sq ft of Spectrum for the doors, 60sq ft of DampX for the floor, 60sq ft of DampX for the roof (or 120sq ft of Damp if it wont stick), and 50sq ft of Spectrum for the trunk.

All in all, it works just as well as the comparable Dynamat, just Dynamat costs a LOT more. Why pay for when you can get the same thing (pretty much) for less?

Oh, I forgot, I've had nothing but good experiences with Brown Bread in the past either.
