dynamat is overpriced..........ive used dynamat, fatmat, and second skin and second skin was the best by far

There is nothing wrong with Dynamat's performance -- it just costs too much. You can get more for your money with Secondskin or Rammat products.

yes second skin outperformed fatmat hands down in my opinion.......the fatmat peeled off and was pretty thin

Yes. SS = butyl based

Fatmat = asphalt

I did the same thing as well. Should have read up before I purchased it. Their website is very missleading, lol! All websites are for the most part because they want you too buy it. I paid more for my fatmat too from the website, when I could have saved 30 some dollars if I hit up eghey! Oh well, you live and you learn. I ended up buying some extra Second Skin to do the trunk, rear wheels and doors.

To the OP, I would check out Second skin. You could get 40sqft of damplifier, which is their cheapest butyal based mat, but is as good as Dynamat and cheaper for more Sq footage. Might want to check them out.
