i just got a door kit for 60 i know thats not "cheap" but it was local and i already have enough for the rest of my pos lol hush mat door kits sell for 99.99 and its 2 sq foot less.

All i have to add to this discussion...

Is that eDead v1 works, eDead v1se works, and Peel n Seal work.

They all work very well, but they all smell like sh!t. For an extremely long time at that. The car we deadened has smelled like serious asphaltage for about 5 weeks, and its not letting up. Keep that in mind when you go with budget materials.

But, any of the eDead series, and Peel n Seal all work very very well. So they are viable. Just be prepared for the smell that doesn't go away //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Thats because edead and Peel and Seal are asphalt based junk. They don't work very well and stink like a pile of cow dung.

Try Second Skin...

It's all rubber based product that doesn't have any horrible stink to it and doesnt melt and fall off.

compair the edead and peal and seal to another known to work product 1 layer to one layer and tell me it WORKS AS GOOD

This is true, AND I also don't see how people fall into this.

The acoustical dampening properties of eDead AND Peal and Seal ****, period. Hell peal and seal isn't even MADE for sound dampening. Compare them to a REAL butyl based mat, that is superior...NOT REBADGED and made specifically for dampening and you'll notice a HUGE difference. peace

I've done Peel n seel installs in three of my cars and have NEVER had ANY smell for more than a day.

just my two cents----and thats actually overcharging---but fatmat works fine for me---especially getting 100ft for 99.95. again just my two cents
