dvd shrink....WTF!

"DVD shrink encountered an error and cannot continue. Invalid DVD navigation structure"
wtf does that mean, im tryin to copy a dvd to my HD so i can burn it bc my cdrw/dvd drive is a piece of shit, so i only got 1 functional dvd drive...
Not the best answer you want to hear but........ Could be a SHIT load of things.

is this a NEW dvd that just came out?

it hasnt even came out yet...blockbuster employee free rentals FTW...
They have a new encryiption that is hitting the market any day now that dvd shrink doesnt work with. There coming out with a new version soon that will get around that though.

Id say different program.

Also if you have restarted... try that first. Also make sure the DVD is clean.

disc is clean...what else should i try to copy it?

First thing I try is DVDDecrypter. It stays updated and can decode many of the newer file structures. You can then take the output from DVD decrypter and process it with Shrink.

If that does not work, go to the shrink forum. I am not near my DVD Shrink computer right now (out of town on business) to see which one I am running, but there are a couple of new programs that run with shrink to fix the file structure. Man for some DVD's, it can take up to an hour to back them up!!!! Search the forum for your error message and "sony", as sony is one of the hard ones to extract.

Good Luck!

Brian
