Well... I am using an up-convert DVD player, and right now it will only "convert" to 480p.... Yesterday it let me choose out of all the selections... The night before yesterday it was the same thing... It seriously looks like utter shit in 480p compared to 1080p....

I'm assuming it has to do with my TV... But I don't know.. Doesn't make sense why it is working on and off...

Like right now I have the options of "480p" or "HD off" ..........

On mine there is a little button on the remote that says HDMI I think, you stop the movie, then push it to change formats, 480p/720i/720p/1080i/1080p it just cycles through them.

Check the instructions?

And are you using HDMI?

Yes HDMI, and there is a little button to cycle through it... But it just goes from 480p to hd off...

hmm. Just watched it last night, and it worked fine.. This is ****ing weird... I'll be watching a movie again tonight... I'll post if it works or not... B/c somethings deffinatly not right if it works every other day..

Mine looks like shit on anything but 480 for some reason... guess that's what I get for buying a $30 up converter lol.
