Kenwood X891 and iPod

Recently installed the X891 in my truck. Found out my old school 3rd gen iPod wasnt compatable so I purchased a 5th gen. It recognizes the device and even plays the songs etc, but I have no audio whatsoever. I have tried other iPods and the same thing happens. Any ideas?

which ipod cable?

the ip200?

if so you need the usb hooked up to the usb cable and the 3.5mm headphone jack looking cable hooked up, i cant remember if the 891 is 3.5mm input or RCA input, so you might need an adapter

if both are hooked up now....then you have other problems

let me know and i might look into it if i have some time at work, i dont have anymore 891's mess with though
