DVD burner software..ever used NeroVison???

got a dvd burner..trying to rip some dvds that i rented before i go to school..but i cant seem to figure out how to do this..the first time it recorded with no picture only sound..even though i chose record as DVD...now im trying this other way and it takes forever to copy it..its been an hour and the first chapter hasnt even started recording..something is wrong here.

anyone know any better software or how to use this or anythign that would help

dvd shrink is your friend.

Dvd decrypter is also a great program. However it cant compress a dvd9 to fit on a dvd5.

well i found out the problem..**** copyrights on the dvd's does this mean i can only download dvd's and then burn them...so no making backups of the dvds i bought from stores?

Use that along with dvd shrink and decrypter.

It will rip any movie made right now, ArCoss,ripguard......doesn't matter.
