DVD audio through car speakers

Hi all,

I'm thinking of installing a dvd player into my VW Golf. Is there a way to have the audio from the dvd come out of the car's sound system? I have already replaced the factory RCD 300 with a Sony gt420 headunit.

Is there anything I should look out for when shopping for a dvd player? I was hoping of getting one with a fold out monitor but I hear that most of those would not go through my headunit.

Why not just buy a new headunit and have an all-in-one. Sell your unit and buy another.
