DVC sub running 1 coil

my brother brought home 2 infinity reference 10s from best buy today he got them for $30 ea because they were display models, but the ****ing idiots tore off the negative wire lead to 1 of the VCs on both subs why the dumb ***** didnt just.... idk not ****ing hook it up is beyond me, he soldered it but its not a very good job because its hard get to..... anyways is it safe to run it with only 1 coil hooked up?

Yes and no. It's not recommended to do so, but if you short out one VC you could then get by. I can't remember the link in which I read that but there was proof to back it up.

On the VC that the N lead is tore, just connect it to the P lead of the same coil.
